About this deal

No pine, not much citrus, nothing that I was expecting based on the reviews and clout of this house. Although favoured by gentleman during the 20 th century in 2017 this is a perfectly gender-neutral scent of fresh citrus peel and woody plants.

Being something that many suggest is vintage or even outdated, it may work better on men that are in their forties or above. It might make a great gift because of its associations with the British nobility, although you can get other quite similar fragrances probably for much cheaper.Very surprising - never been a fan neither to lemon nor lavander but this musky woody mix is very nice, gives a very clean classy feel. After a short while, the wearer will begin to experience the musky base that is comprised of labdanum and cedarwood. The Lavender and Musk support and fill out the fragrance with a pleasing and refreshing feel that sits close to the skin. BLENHEIM BOUQUET reminds me of a couple of the Creed universal fragrances--the ones without the Creed water base.

It also has a softer side brought by the lavender and musk which makes it much more wearable for me, and very inviting too. Here's the thing, I really, really wanted to like at least one thing from Penhaligon's, but I don't, my range goes to mildly disliking to finding some repulsive.Again, it resembles an eau de cologne in the ways of performance and will only give you a few hours of enjoyment before fading away completely. The other notes give it a bit of an elderly/mothball impression but overall it smells like old money, not a retirement home. All in all, this is (like many other Penhaligons) the epitome of sparse but luxurious British elegance.

I heard someone say that it was an eau de fruit loop once, and I think that or lemon furniture polish pretty well sums up the INITIAL top note. Blenheim Bouquet is discreet, sensual and immaculately turned out with a flash of heritage flourish. When I went on a business trip to Vegas where there was a Penhaligons boutique in one of the hotels. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. The best way I can describe this is an eau de cologne trying to be a fougere, and failing miserably.like the kind you find in grandma's citrus potpourri that's been sitting in the upstairs bathroom where nobody ever really goes. This fragrance is a tribute of 1902 to the dukes of Marlborough and their Blenheim Palace, donated in 1704 by Queen Anne to John Churchill, first duke of Marlborough, as a reward for the homonymous victory against the French. The main problem I found with scent was the longevity and projection, you need a little more than a few spritz’ to have it last the day.
