About this deal

These fence screens are constructed with half-round poles (approx 6-8 cm width), bamboo slats and natural black palm rope. Once the black bamboo plants have settled in and the tall, black canes have arrived, Phyllostachys nigra makes a wonderfully attractive, evergreen privacy screen or hedge. The wire on the other hand has great resistance to corrosion and retains its strength during temperature fluctuations. p>Bamboo is a natural material, therefore there will be varying tones within the same item, and both colour and size may vary slightly from the dimensions given, the image shown and from piece to piece.

Bamboo screening idea: plant 1 or 2 of these every metre around the perimeter of your garden and wait until dense, luscious hedges appear! Our rails are manufactured using marine grade Aluminium profiles, that are super strong with a sleek modern design. This robust and eco-friendly Thick carbonised black bamboo screening roll will make a perfect practical addition to your garden. The opportunities are endless when it comes to using this plant – you can go for dense hedging around the perimeter of your garden, giving you plenty of privacy or alternatively you can cover up an old-looking fence by spacing the bamboo plants out. The bamboo is strong enough to increase the height of existing fences and can be used on its own or attached to an existing fence. We’re also big fans of the bamboo screening plants by Pappilon as it gives your garden a luscious feel.

However, it can also be grown in large containers as an eye-catching addition to the patio, creating a restful space with soft movement. It will do well in full sun to dappled shade in a location that is sheltered from harsh drying winds. Side note: bamboo is easy to cut so if you wanted to decrease the height of your screening, use a measuring tape and saw off the ends.

Also Consider: Our other Bamboo varieties for alternative stem colours and Fargesia murielae for a clump-forming bamboo variety. Phyllostachys nigra prefers moist to well-drained soils in a sheltered, sunny to partially shaded site.
